The Great Christchurch Bake Weekend 2013

Fancy a Bake Challenge? - or just come along and watch!


As part of the Christchurch Food Festival 2013, why not visit Christchurch Quay on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of May to watch the Christchurch Bake Off. With competition Judging on Saturday from Great British Bake Off Winner Jo Wheatley, and competition judging on Sunday from Celebrity Chef Lesley Waters.

Hands On Workshops - improve your skills, or just have a bit of fun with some fabulous workshops from local expers including Des Burke from Flavours Cookery School, and Helen Shaw from Vanilla Pink Cakes - and many other demos - make sure you Book your place now!
The weekend will be a baking fete, with fun for all the family on Christchurch Quay including stalls, baking demo's, competitions, children's rides and more.

Saturday Challenges of one or more of the following
Meringues: Make 6 filled meringues. Amateur bakers only or Dundee Cake: 20cm Dundee cake. Amateur bakers only or Bread Rolls: 10 bread rolls, entrants choice of flavour. Amateur bakers only

rofessional Bakers & Chef’s Challenge The Petit Four Challenge, chefs should display an assortment of 3 petit fours. Professional chefs and bakers only

Under 16’s Categories
Cupcakes: 6 decorated cupcakes. Under 16’s only  or Gingerbread Men: 6 decorated Gingerbread Men. Under 16’s only or Novelty Cake: any shape, any size, any flavour, any design! Under 16’s only orBread: 6 bread rolls. Under 16’s Only
Adult Categories
Wedding Cake: any size, any shape including dummy cakes. Adults only
