Cake International - London Excel - Show Report 2012

Back in April we attended Cake International at london Excel
It was the first Cake International exhibition held outside Birmingham, and it was a huge success.
Needless to say week of preparation paid off, and it was so lovely to meet so many of our online customers in person!
We had a 5 metre stand, and actually brought far more stock than we could display (might go for 7 metres next year!)

We were asked to present a cake for the showpiece table, and so we went to town creating a 1.6 metre best of british themed cake, complete with George and the Dragon!

We were a little embarassed when we realised everyone had gone for a standard three tier cake size - but it had the right effect!

We had great fun getting to London from Dorset in the back of a Mercedes Sprinter van full of stock!

We were also really please to launch a new range of cutters by Kitchen Craft, we sold out on the first day!

We saw some amazing work by extremely talented competitors and were pleased to sponsor the sculpted novely cake entries.

All in all it's a great event, and to top it all ICHF (the show organisers) have just announced another date for next year in Manchester! - This one may be a bit far for us down in Dorset, but we never say never.
